Meet the maker

Our story

Seven years ago my sister bought a house and came to me asking if I could make her a coat rack. She said, “you’re handy, can you make me something?” Never did I think that a simple statement like, “Sure, I’ll figure something out,” could completely change the course of my life. The coat rack turned into making a table, benches, bookshelves, cabinets, & footstools. Before I knew it, grad school study time turned into finding and renting a tiny stall in a pole barn to start pursuing making furniture.

Five years later, countless hours spent learning, and three progressively larger shop spaces; making furniture is not only my profession but my livelihood.

Whats next

With the addition of a sawmill to the woodshop arsenal in 2020, milling our own lumber has become an integral part of our design process. Selecting lumber for its specific characteristics and grain for furniture pieces instead of just selecting wood by species has allowed for our creative process to expand and develop. Moving forward, we look forward to begin offering lumber sales in addition to our furniture pieces.
